NEOPHYTE PERFORMANCE
Our Classes

2026 Class OverviewAt Neophyte Performance, we are proud to offer a comprehensive and structured training pathway in Acrobatics, Aerial Arts, Technique Development, and Performance Teams. Our 2026 program has been designed to support athletes of all ages and abilities, with a strong focus on safe skill progressions, confidence building, and high-quality coaching. Below is an overview of the classes available for the upcoming season.
Acrobatics is a discipline that blends strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and performance. Our program teaches athletes how to control their bodies, develop confidence, and progress through increasingly advanced skills. We offer four acrobatics levels to ensure every athlete learns at a pace suitable for their ability.
Our 3–5 Years Acro Dance class is the perfect introduction to movement for little ones! Combining the creativity of dance with the excitement of beginner acrobatics, athletes will develop balance, coordination, strength, flexibility and confidence through fun, age-appropriate activities.
Led by our qualified dance teacher, this engaging class encourages imagination, builds fundamental movement skills and creates a love of performing in a supportive and positive environment, giving your child the best start to their dance and acrobatic journey.
Our Beginner Acrobatics classes introduce athletes to the foundations of acrobatic movement. During this stage, athletes build strength, coordination and basic flexibility while learning skills such as tuck, L-shaped and straight handstands, cartwheels, bridges, back bends and kickovers. This level focuses on strong foundations and safe technique.
The Pre-Intermediate Acrobatics level is designed for athletes who have mastered the basics and are ready for more challenging movements. In this class, athletes continue to improve their flexibility and begin learning walkovers, round-offs, elbow stands, headstands and more advanced handstand variations. This stage reinforces body control and smooth transitions between skills.
Our Intermediate Acrobatics classes are ideal for athletes who have developed strong foundations and are ready to link movements together. These sessions focus heavily on strength and flexibility conditioning while introducing and refining skills such as front and back walkovers (and their variations), headsprings, elbow stands, chin stands, back handsprings and progressions toward side aerials.
The Advanced Acrobatics program is designed for experienced athletes ready for high-level progressions. These classes focus on powerful tumbling and advanced floor tricks including front and back handsprings, connected tumbling passes, contortion elements, and front and back tucks. Athletes work in a challenging yet safe environment to master strong, controlled and dynamic acrobatics.
In 2026, we are also proud to offer a dedicated Home School program, held every Wednesday during the day. These classes combine Acrobatics, Dance and Aerial Arts to give home-schooled athletes a well-rounded training experience. The schedule includes Beginner and Intermediate at 8:30am, a Boys-Only Acrobatics class at 9:30am, and an Intermediate to Advanced class at 10:30am. These sessions provide a fun and supportive environment for learning during school hours.
Our Aerial Arts program teaches athletes how to safely perform on two apparatuses: Hoop/Lyra and Silks. With two low rig points and four high rig points in our studio, athletes have space to develop their aerial strength, flexibility and artistry. Beginner Aerial Arts introduces fundamental shapes, climbs, locks and poses, while Intermediate Aerial Arts focuses on sequenced movements, transitions, rolls, drops and improved technique. In 2026, we are excited to introduce a brand-new Adult Aerial Arts class for beginners who want to build strength and confidence in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Our Open Cheerleading & Stunts class is perfect for athletes who love teamwork, energy and trying exciting new skills! Athletes will learn partner stunts, pyramids, jumps, basic tumbling and cheer techniques in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
Whether you're new to cheer or looking to build confidence and strength, this recreational class develops coordination, communication and athletic ability while making new friends and having lots of fun. No previous cheer experience is required – just bring your enthusiasm and team spirit!
Our PBT Program:
Whether you're an acrobat, dancer, gymnast, cheerleader or aerial athlete, PBT is one of the best ways to maximise your potential.
Using specialised equipment, this strength and conditioning program focuses on core stability, alignment, flexibility, balance and muscle memory, helping athletes improve technique while reducing the risk of injury. PBT develops the body to move correctly, making skills stronger, cleaner and more efficient.
At Neophyte Performance, our PBT classes are guided by Director Maddison Beel, a degree-qualified Sport & Exercise Scientist, combining evidence-based training with practical coaching experience to help every athlete perform at their very best.
Suitable for athletes looking to gain an edge in their sport, improve body awareness and build the strength needed for advanced skills. All equipment is provided, with classes available across multiple levels to suit your experience.
Neophyte Performance is also home to three performance teams:
Blue (Mini's/Development), Pink (Junior) and Gold (Senior). These teams represent our studio throughout the year at performances, events and competitions. Entry into these teams is by invitation or trial only. Performance Team athletes train weekly, learn professionally choreographed routines and must also attend an additional acrobatics class to support their strength and technical development.
